Spencer Nagy brings a wealth of competitive experience, technical knowledge, and mentorship to Gold Schopp Wrestling. A native of Alliance, Ohio, Nagy was a standout in the Olympic styles, earning placements at the Ohio Freestyle and Greco-Roman State Tournaments. His success on the mat showcased his versatility, toughness, and commitment to learning every position in the sport.
He continued his career at the Division I level, wrestling for Edinboro University, where he competed primarily at 157 lbs. During his collegiate career, Nagy was a consistent contributor in one of the top mid-major wrestling programs in the country. He earned a 3rd-place finish at the PSAC Championships as a true freshman and competed in some of the most respected tournaments in the region.
Since graduating, Nagy has continued to make an impact on the sport as a dedicated high school coach, helping guide multiple state placers and instilling the values of discipline, technique, and resilience. His ability to relate to young wrestlers and teach the finer details of the sport makes him an invaluable part of the Gold Schopp Wrestling staff.
