Structured Practice Format

Every session is designed to build complete, competition-ready wrestlers through a proven system that develops success at every level — from youth to NCAA. Practices are led by NCAA Division I coaches with a track record of producing All-Americans, national finalists, and world-level athletes.

While we train every position with intention, our system places special emphasis on making every wrestler dangerous from the top. Coach Schopp is nationally recognized for having one of the most effective top series in college wrestling — and every athlete in the room will have the opportunity to develop that same edge.

Here's what a typical practice includes:

• Technical Focus – Proven systems in all three positions (neutral, top, and bottom), broken down into clear, effective instruction that matches each athlete’s level.

• Drill Progressions – High-rep, high-focus drills that create automatic reactions, proper feel, and positional awareness.

• Sparring – Controlled, goal-oriented partner wrestling. Helps athletes test new skills, adjust timing, and build fluidity without going fully live.

• Situational Live – Position-specific battles (e.g., short offense, mat returns, leg defense, escape chains) designed to sharpen instincts and composure under pressure.

• Conditioning & Mindset – Mat-based endurance work and mental training aimed at building grit, focus, and the ability to stay sharp in tough moments.

Youth & Beginner Sessions (to be added in the future)

For new or younger athletes, practices emphasize body control, positioning, and foundational movements in a fun, focused environment. These sessions also build the routines and habits needed for long-term success.

---

Advanced / Competitive Sessions

Designed for serious middle and high school athletes preparing for state and national-level events. Includes advanced technique, intense live scenarios, and performance coaching. All wreslters are able to attend and improve. If beginner wrestlers are joining, they must understand there will be a an emphasis on high level wrestling and will improve if determined.

Tournament Prep & Strategy

Leading up to major tournaments (e.g., Super 32, NHSCA Nationals), some sessions will include match strategy, edge-of-mat awareness, and simulated matches to prepare athletes for high-level competition.
